Dr Katherine Moline NSW

Assoc Dean Research UNSWAD

Katherine Moline is Associate Dean Research Training at the School of Art & Design, UNSW Sydney. Her research through curating exhibitions and developing and writing on methodological innovation focuses on new combinations of technological and social dynamics with design. Between 2014 and 2016 she curated or led curatorial teams for four exhibitions that generated international debate on design research, attracted significant sponsorship, high audience attendance, and commentary in exhibition reviews. Her innovations in research methods have contributed new knowledge to cultural methodologies in design. Her most recent research titled Expanding Experimental Aesthetics in the Social Imaginary (EEASI) advances co-design in the deployment of readymade cultural probes (mobiles, CCTV, robots, and VR) to engage the creative participation of end-users in design.
